The Story

Tussah Tweed is a 100% silk with fine tweed neps and a very interesting stitch definition. It is processed from the cocoons of wild butterflies allowed to flee the cocoon before it is processed into silk, making it "cruelty-free". Tussah Tweed is very stable and feels a bit rough at the beginning, but gets softer and softer the more you wash and wear it. For this reason, it is not only suitable for hand knitting, but also for the crochet, weaving, or embroidery.

Washing instructions: Handwash in cold water and rinse with vinegar to help prevent bleeding.
